FRITZ!Repeater's Wi-Fi network can no longer be found after setup

After setting up the FRITZ!Repeater, it is no longer displayed with its Wi-Fi network name (SSID) "FRITZ!WLAN Repeater[...]" in the network list of wireless devices.

1 FRITZ!Repeater adopts the router's Wi-Fi network name (SSID)

During setup, the FRITZ!Repeater automatically adopts the Wi-Fi network name and the network key of the wireless router in order to allow wireless devices in the home network to quickly switch Wi-Fi networks (Wi-Fi roaming).

Since most wireless devices do not display different Wi-Fi networks with the same name separately, after setting up the FRITZ!Repeater it may appear that its Wi-Fi network is not available. However, the Wi-Fi network of the wireless router and the FRITZ!Repeater are actually grouped together under one Wi-Fi network name.

Note:You can also assign a unique network name to the FRITZ!Repeater's Wi-Fi network.
