Determining the FRITZ!Box's BSSID

The BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifier) serves to unambiguously identify a wireless router in a wireless network (WiFi). Some applications for establishing wireless connections require you to enter the FRITZ!Box's BSSID when configuring a wireless connection to the FRITZ!Box.

1 Determining the FRITZ!Box's wireless MAC address

The BSSID is the MAC address at which wireless devices can access the FRITZ!Box:

  1. Click "Wireless" ("WLAN") in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Radio Network" in the "Wireless" ("WLAN") menu.
  3. Make note of the MAC address listed in the "Radio Network" section.
