FRITZ!Box 6840 LTE Service

Can MyFRITZ! be used on an IPv6 internet connection?

You can use the MyFRITZ! service regardless of the IP protocol being used. Even if you are operating the FRITZ!Box on an internet connection with the new Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), you can use a web browser or MyFRITZ!App to access the FRITZ!Box from the internet, for example.

However, in order to access a FRITZ!Box with MyFRITZ!, you must always use the same IP protocol used by the FRITZ!Box to connect to the internet. If the FRITZ!Box is being used on an IPv6 internet connection, IPv6 must be used to access it. In this case, you cannot use IPv4 to access the FRITZ!Box.

Since not all internet connections support IPv6 connectivity (for example in many mobile communication networks and wireless hotspots), call up or on the respective network device (for example a computer, smartphone, tablet) to test IPv6 connectivity. You can only access the FRITZ!Box if IPv6 connectivity is available.
