FRITZ!DECT Repeater 100 Serwis

Cannot register FRITZ!DECT Repeater

The registration of a FRITZ!DECT Repeater to a FRITZ!Box fails. After automatic configuration, the "DECT" LED on the repeater flashes continuously and a DECT connection between FRITZ!Box and repeater cannot be established.

Here we show you how to correct this issue if you are using a FRITZ!Box as the access point. However, you can also register the FRITZ!DECT Repeater with a base station from another manufacturer.

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the issue persists.

1 Maximum number has been reached

You can register a maximum of six repeaters with the FRITZ!Box. If you already registered six repeaters, you cannot register any additional repeaters.

Note:Registering a repeater does not decrease the number of telephones or FRITZ!DECT devices for smart home that can be registered.

2 Installing the latest FRITZ!OS

3 Disabling the keylock

This function is only available for the FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 5.59 or higher:

  1. Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Buttons and LEDs" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Keylock" tab.
  4. Disable the keylock.
  5. Click "Apply" to save your settings.

4 Disabling "Reduce DECT field strength"

  1. Click "DECT" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Base Station" in the "DECT" menu.
  3. Disable the option "Reduce DECT field strength" in the "Radio Field Strength" section.
  4. Click "Apply" to save your settings.

5 Disabling "DECT Eco"

  1. Click "DECT" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Base Station" in the "DECT" menu.
  3. Disable the option "DECT Eco" in the "Radio Field Strength" section.
  4. Click "Apply" to save your settings.

6 Enabling encryption

  1. Click "DECT" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Base Station" in the "DECT" menu.
  3. Enable the option "Permit only secure DECT connections (recommended)" in the "Security" section.
  4. Click "Apply" to save your settings.
  5. If the option was disabled, you must then restart the FRITZ!Box once using the user interface ("System > Backup or Reset > Restart").

7 Setting a PIN

In order for automatic registration to work, you must set the PIN to "0000" under "DECT > Base Station" in the FRITZ!Box user interface:

  1. Click "DECT" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Base Station" in the "DECT" menu.
  3. Enter "0000" as the PIN in the "Registration" section.
  4. Click "Apply" to save your settings.

Important:You cannot change the PIN once you have successfully registered the repeater!

8 Re-registering a repeater

De-registering a repeater

  • Push the "DECT" button on the repeater and hold it down for at least 6 seconds, then immediately repeat this procedure once.

The "DECT" LED begins to flash as soon as the repeater is de-registered.

Restarting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Backup" or "Reset" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Restart" tab (if available).
  4. Click the "Restart" button.

Establishing a DECT connection

  1. Unplug the repeater.
  2. Push the "DECT" button on your FRITZ!Box. Hold down the button for at least 6 seconds until the "DECT" or "Info" LED on the FRITZ!Box begins to flash.
  3. Plug the repeater in within the next 10 seconds.
