Display is defective

The display of your FRITZ!Fon is defective:

  • The display remains dark.
  • There are annoying lines across the display.
  • A whole line contains pixel errors.

1 Placing the telephone in its charging cradle without the battery and turning it on

Perform the following steps if the error occurred after an update:

  1. Hold down the hang-up key (red handset) for about one second to turn the telephone off.
  2. Remove the rechargeable battery from the telephone.
  3. Place the telephone into the charging cradle without its battery inserted.
  4. Press the hang-up key to turn the telephone on again and wait until the telephone has started once while in the charging cradle.
  5. Turn the telephone off again.
  6. Remove the telephone from the charging cradle and reinsert the battery.

2 Removing the battery and reinserting it

  1. Hold down the hang-up key (red handset) for about one second to turn the telephone off.
  2. Remove the battery from the telephone for several seconds.
  3. Reinsert the battery and use the hang-up key to turn it on again.
