Does wireless radiation pose a risk?
The radio technology used by the FRITZ!Box meets the requirements of the European Union. Radiation exposure from the FRITZ!Box is significantly below the limits stipulated in the German "Twenty-sixth Ordinance Implementing the Federal Immission Control Act (Ordinance on Electromagnetic Fields)", for example.
In the 2.4 GHz frequency range, the Wi-Fi transmitter power of the FRITZ!Box does not exceed 100 mW / 20 dBm.
In the 5 GHz frequency range, the Wi-Fi transmitter power of the FRITZ!Box does not exceed 200 mW / 23 dBm when using Wi-Fi channels 36 to 64 (5.15 - 5.35 GHz), or 1000 mW / 30 dBm when using Wi-Fi channels 100 to 140 (5.47 - 5.725 GHz).
According to current scientific knowledge (see Federal Communications Commission), there is no evidence that radiation from wireless devices poses health risks.
