Loud background noise when using a DECT repeater

As soon as a DECT Repeater is registered with the FRITZ!Box, you can hear loud background noise when conducting calls with a cordless telephone.

Cause

  • The DECT repeater is not properly connected or it was not positioned correctly.

1 Deregistering a repeater

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "DECT" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click on the "Monitor" tab.
  4. Click on the entry for a repeater.
  5. Click the (Delete) button.
  6. Delete all of the registered repeaters the same way.

2 Re-registering a repeater

  1. Re-register all of the repeaters.
