Setting up FRITZ!Box for use with a MyNet line

The FRITZ!Box is optimally prepared for use with MyNet and gives you unlimited access to all features including internet, telephony, and multimedia. Simply connect the FRITZ!Box to the DSL line and select MyNet as the internet service provider in the FRITZ!Box. The FRITZ!Box is then automatically configured by MyNet.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Connecting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Either connect the FRITZ!Box to the DSL line or use the "WAN" or "LAN 1" port to connect the FRITZ!Box with the fiber optic modem that you received from MyNet. For detailed information, refer to the quick guide included with the FRITZ!Box and the manual.

2 Configuring the internet connection in the FRITZ!Box

  1. Open the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Enter the FRITZ!Box password given on the type label of the FRITZ!Box and click "Log In".
  3. If the wizard for internet access does not start automatically, click "Wizards" and then "Configure the Internet Connection".

  4. Enable the option "Use DSL/WAN for internet connection" and click "Next".
  5. Select "MyNet" from the drop-down list.
  6. Click "Next" and follow the wizard's instructions.
  7. Now the FRITZ!Box establishes a connection to MyNet and automatically configures the internet connection and, if available, your telephone numbers.

    Important:If configuration fails, your internet access may not have been activated yet. In this case, contact MyNet.

3 Setting up telephony in the FRITZ!Box

If MyNet configured telephone numbers in your FRITZ!Box, define which telephone number your telephony devices should use for making outgoing calls and to which telephone numbers the telephony devices should react to when you receive calls:

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephony Devices" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the (Edit) button for the respective telephony device.

    Important:If the telephony device was not configured yet, click the "Configure New Device" button and follow the wizard's instructions.

  4. From the drop-down list "Outgoing Calls", select the number to be used by the telephony device for making outgoing calls. If you do not select a telephone number, the number entered under "Telephony > Telephone Numbers > Line Settings" is used for making calls.
  5. Select the telephone numbers to which the telephony device should react when you receive calls. You can select up to ten numbers (including the number for outgoing calls).
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
