Setting up FRITZ!Box for use with an Odido line (formerly T-Mobile)

The FRITZ!Box is optimally prepared for use with Odido (formerly T-Mobile). Simply connect the FRITZ!Box to the internet connection, select Odido as the internet service provider in the FRITZ!Box, and configure telephony. The complete FRITZ!Box range of functions for internet, telephony, and smart home is then available to all of the devices in your home network without restriction.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Connecting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Either connect the FRITZ!Box to the DSL line or use the "LAN 1" port to connect the FRITZ!Box with the fiber optic modem (ONT, Optical Network Termination). For detailed information, refer to the quick guide included with the FRITZ!Box and the manual.

2 Configuring the internet connection in the FRITZ!Box

  1. Open the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Enter the FRITZ!Box password given on the type label of the FRITZ!Box and click "Log In".
  3. If the wizard for internet access does not start automatically, click "Wizards" and then "Configure the Internet Connection".

  4. Select "Odido" from the drop-down list and enable the correct connection type.
  5. Click "Next" and follow the wizard's instructions.
  6. Now the FRITZ!Box checks whether the internet connection can be established. Configuration is complete as soon as the message "The internet connection check was successful" is displayed.

    Important:If the internet connection check fails, your internet access may not have been activated yet. In this case, contact Odido.

3 Setting up telephony in the FRITZ!Box

Having your login information ready

  1. Have the login information for telephony ready (for example the SIP username and password) that was displayed to you in Odido's customer portal.

    Note:If your login information is not displayed in the customer portal, contact Odido.

Configuring telephone numbers

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephone Numbers" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the "New Telephone Number" button.
  4. Select "Other provider" from the drop-down list.
  5. Enter your telephone number including the area code (for example 31201234567) by "Telephone number for registration".
  6. Enter your telephone number (for example 1234567) by "Internal telephone number in the FRITZ!Box".
  7. Enter the login information you received from Odido by "Username" and "Password".
  8. Enter voip.t-mobilethuis.nl in the field "Registrar".
  9. Enter voip.t-mobilethuis.nl in the "Proxy server" field.
  10. Enter your area code by "Area code".
  11. Click "Next" and follow the wizard's instructions.

Assigning telephone numbers

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephony Devices" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the (Edit) button for the respective telephony device.

    Important:If the telephony device was not configured yet, click the "Configure New Device" button and follow the wizard's instructions.

  4. From the drop-down list "Outgoing Calls", select the number to be used by the telephony device for making outgoing calls. If you do not select a telephone number, the number entered under "Telephony > Telephone Numbers > Line Settings" is used for making calls.
  5. Select the telephone numbers to which the telephony device should react when you receive calls. You can select up to ten numbers (including the number for outgoing calls).
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.

4 Setting up television (Interactieve TV)

This step is only necessary if you ordered digital television reception (Interactieve TV) for your Odido line:

  1. Use a network cable to connect the media receiver to port "LAN 3" or "LAN 4" on the FRITZ!Box.

    Note:You can also connect the media receiver with the FRITZ!Box via Wi-Fi or your home's electrical wiring, for example with a FRITZ!Repeater or FRITZ!Powerline. The LAN ports reserved for Interactieve TV are not able to access the internet.
