Loud background noise when using a DECT repeater

As soon as a DECT Repeater is registered with the FRITZ!Box, you can hear loud background noise when conducting calls with a cordless telephone.

Cause

  • The DECT repeater is not properly connected or it was not positioned correctly.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Deregistering the DECT repeater

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "DECT" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click on the "Monitor" tab.
  4. Click on the entry for a DECT repeater.
  5. Click the (Delete) button.
  6. Delete all of the registered DECT repeaters the same way.

2 Re-registering a DECT repeater

  1. Re-register all of the DECT repeaters.
