Display is defective

The display of the FRITZ!Fon is defective: The display remains dark, white, or scrolls constantly. It is inverted or mirrored, top and bottom or right and left are reversed. It has annoying lines on it or it has an entire line of defective pixels.

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 Restarting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Unplug the FRITZ!Box for 5 seconds.

    Note:The FRITZ!Box settings are retained when you unplug it. The restart takes about 2 minutes. During this time, you cannot access the FRITZ!Box.

2 Charging the rechargeable battery

  1. Plug in the charging station. Make sure that both plugs on the charging cable are inserted correctly.
  2. Leave the telephone in the charging station for at least 6 hours to fully charge the telephone's rechargeable battery. Make sure that the telephone is placed correctly in the charging station.

3 Removing the battery and reinserting it

  1. Hold down the end call key (red handset) for about one second to switch the telephone off.
  2. Remove the rechargeable battery from the telephone for several minutes.
  3. Reinsert the battery and press the end call key to switch the telephone on again.
