FRITZ!Powerline 1000E

FRITZ!Powerline software does not display powerline adapters

The FRITZ!Powerline software does not display any or not all of the powerline adapters in the FRITZ!Powerline network. FRITZ!Powerline may display the message "No powerline adapter is connected to this computer".

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 Connecting the computer directly to the powerline adapter

FRITZ!Powerline cannot display powerline adapters that are connected to the FRITZ!Box via a Mesh Repeater or the guest access. The following steps are only necessary if powerline adapters behind a Mesh Repeater or in the guest access are not displayed:

  1. Use a network cable to directly connect a computer on which the FRITZ!Powerline software is installed to a powerline adapter that is not displayed in FRITZ!Powerline.

2 Installing the latest version of the FRITZ!Powerline software

  1. Call up our download area in a web browser.
  2. Select the product group "FRITZ!Powerline" and then your product.
  3. Download the FRITZ!Powerline software for the operating system of your computer.
  4. Install FRITZ!Powerline on a computer that is connected to a FRITZ!Powerline adapter via the FRITZ!Box or directly via a network cable.

3 Installing the latest firmware for the FRITZ!Powerline adapter

  1. Install the latest firmware on the FRITZ!Powerline adapter.

4 Configuring the firewall

  1. Configure the firewall on the computer to allow connections from the FRITZ!Powerline software to the powerline adapters. You can find information on configuring the firewall in its manual, or consult its manufacturer directly.
