It is normal for the FRITZ!Powerline device to heat up in relation to the load. Therefore, select a location for it where it is not exposed to additional heat and any heat produced can be drawn off:

1. Do not expose the FRITZ!Powerline device to direct sunlight.
2. Do not use the FRITZ!Powerline device directly next to devices that also produce heat.
3. Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered and that there is sufficient ventilation.
4. Plug the FRITZ!Powerline device vertically into a wall outlet. Since the ventilation slots are located at the top and sides of the device, this guarantees optimum heat dissipation from the housing.
