It is normal for the FRITZ!Smart Gateway to heat up in relation to the load. Therefore, select a location for the FRITZ!Smart Gateway where it is not exposed to additional heat and any heat produced can be drawn off:

1. Do not expose the FRITZ!Smart Gateway to direct sunlight.
2. Do not use the FRITZ!Smart Gateway directly next to devices that also produce heat.
3. Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered and that there is sufficient ventilation.
4. Do not place the FRITZ!Smart Gateway inside a closed cabinet or casing.
